Core: Typography

Fall 2020- Spring 2021
A year-long introduction course to typography as visual language. 
Through weekly exercises and critiques, the course covers letterform structure and classification, spacing (kerning/leading/tracking), grid systems, hierarchy, legibility, and type as image—moving from research and prototyping to finished layouts and clear documentation.

MOMF: Museum of Modern Furniture

Spring 2021




Studio project developing a fictional collection from naming and logo concepts to campaign visuals and UX/UI. 
Real modern furniture pieces were curated into the imagined MOMF catalogue, organized as exhibitions and collections; A poster series promotes rotating shows, while a responsive website prototype presents object pages, exhibition narratives, and clear wayfinding.

Deliverables: 
naming + logo/wordmark, exhibition poster series, curated collection content, and a Figma website prototype.


Cropped Letters

Project 2(One-Week Study)Fall 2020


One-week letterform study turning cropped glyph fragments into a modular pattern system. Letter parts are isolated to foreground anatomy and counterforms, then recomposed on a grid to generate repeatable patterns. Deliverables include a tiled pattern set and typographic specimens.


Mantra Merch

Project 3Fall 2020


A mantra is “a sound, syllable, word, or group of words that is considered capable of “creating transformation.”
The selected mantra, “Ride With the Wave,” is translated into a system of flowing letterforms: undulating baselines, crest–trough scale shifts, and rhythmic spacing.  Deliverables include merch mockups, poster studies, and animated GIFs.


‘NINTENDO: a wiki’

Project 6: Wiki Book
Fall 2020



Book design translating a full Wikipedia entry into print. Uses a compact square format and a playful typeface to echo Nintendo’s character while organizing history, people, consoles, and games into a navigable typographic system.
